Designing and building your Blueline Home is fun and easy. Our streamlined process takes the stress out of new home construction.

The typical steps to building a Blueline Home include:

1. Connect with us.
We would love to meet you in person! Our easygoing style makes it fun to get together for a detailed discussion about Blueline Homes. We are happy to answer any questions you might have.


2. Determine your ideal neighborhood and find a teardown site.
Blueline Homes are designed to fit most lots in Minneapolis and the surrounding areas. Some lots may require improvement; however, we can help you determine any associated costs so you can negotiate the price of the lot.

We enjoy taking our clients on driving tours to show them Blueline Homes in the area. We are very familiar with the nuances of the Southwest Minneapolis neighborhoods.

Your real estate agent can also help you with this step.


3. Purchase the site and conduct due diligence.
You can purchase the site on your own or Blueline Homes can purchase it for you.

We will conduct the due diligence to ensure the site is suitable for building.

This detailed analysis will include:
• Survey
• Drainage analysis
• Check for easements/utlities
• Soil testing
• Zoning analysis
• Environmental survey


4. Customize your new home.
Choose your favorite Blueline Home exterior style and make customizations including a variety of color options.

Select from several interior finish options including: paint colors, cabinet door styles, hardware finish, lighting, plumbing, carpet colors, wood floors, tile and countertops. We make this process less overwhelming by recommending a chic list of choices.


5. Add features that enhance your lifestyle!
Upgrade your home with many available Blueline Apps (customization features) including: Sub-Zero Wolf appliances, landscaping packages, gas fireplace, lower level bar (don’t forget the mancave!), heated floors in master bath and many more.


6. Review final pricing/approve construction contract.
Arrange financing and construction insurance. Blueline Homes has a preferred list of lenders and insurance carriers to serve you.


7. Sit back and watch as your home is built in 3-4 months.
Blueline Homes are often built in as few as 120 days!
